Bedtime ritual is a very important part of one’s childhood - it does not only help a child to calm down and get ready for sleep, but also ensures a feeling of safety and relaxation. To contribute to this part of growing up, I challenged myself to design a bedside lamp that helps children fall asleep. To create a soothing light, I delved into extensive research on color psychology to identify the most calming colors for children. Additionally, I conducted interviews with parents having kids aged 1 to 10 and nurses working in intensive child care. Through this research, I aimed to better comprehend the relationship between children and sleep.

All this research resulted in creation of "Sleepy" - a unique bedside lamp with a light-fading function. When a light ball is taken from Sleepy's arms, it initiates a gradual transition of warm yellow to red light. Scientifically proven to promote the relaxation of the body and to be the least disturbing, red light gradually lulls the child to sleep until the light itself eventually fades out completely.
